Beth El Women (BEW) is the Sisterhood auxiliary of Peninsula Temple Beth El. Together we provide a variety of support to our temple and congregation, while promoting closer friendship amongst our members. Our religious, social, educational and fundraising programs and activities benefit our entire community, and are inspirational and fun too!

Passover Fair

plate, a hostess gift for a Seder that you will be attending, ways to make your Seder more kid-friendly or just an excuse to shop? Then let our Temple Gift Shop help you out with even more fabulous choices than ever!
Maj Jongg Lessons
Tuesdays, March 20, 27, April 17, 24; 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Learn how to play exciting and fun game played with tiles. Instructors will be BEW members Shirley Heiman, Sissy Kaplan, Berta Sugarman and Ruth Woolf. The cost is $25 for members and families of BEW and $30 for non-members (this includes membership in the National Maj Jongg League and the 2012 National Maj Jongg card). Payment for the series should be sent to: BEW, c/o PTBE, 1700 Alameda de las Pulgas, San Mateo, CA, 94403. Please make checks out to Beth El Women. Signups must be received by March 15. Will YOU be ready to be one of the participants in the PTBE Maj Jongg Tournament on October 16?
Help our SMRTY Youth Group with Café Beth-El-Taliano Dinner and Talent Show Saturday, April 14, 4:30 pm
Last year, BEW helped out our talented teens by preparing the dinner for their fabulous extravaganza. It was a lot of fun and SMRTY really appreciated our support of their fundraiser. Volunteers are needed to help in the kitchen again this year to prepare the pasta dinner. If you’d like to help, please contact Martha Kokes at mkokes4bew@gmail.com.
